Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan Electric vehicles. The rearview camera may show a blurry image or fail to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & Remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera that does not display an image decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the control unit software, inspect, and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 23, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ASA3.
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan Electric vehicles. The headlights may be too bright and exceed the maximum light output, which may adversely affect the vision of drivers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & Remedy
Consequence: Headlights that are excessively bright can reduce visibility for oncoming drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the headlight control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 23, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ARC5.
